The new wage structure for workers of member factories of Bangladesh trade body BGMEA will be implemented from December this year, as recommended by the wage board.
The board has time until November 30 to announce the new minimum wage.
Garment workers have been demonstrating in Ashulia and Gazipur for the last few days, demanding a minimum wage of Tk 23,000.
