Malaysia & Singapore rank as each other’s 2nd biggest garment markets

Malaysia and Singapore have a significant trade partnership in textiles and garments, with each being the second-largest importer of the other’s garments.
In 2023, Malaysia exported garments worth $123.645 million to Singapore, while Singapore exported $122.293 million to Malaysia.
They are developing a Special Economic Zone in Johor to boost trade.
